John has over 25 years of experience in the music business. Some of the people he has worked with include Brantley Gilbert (Modern Day Prodigal Son, producer), Corey Smith (Undertones), Mark Hall (Casting Crowns), Phil Cross (Cross Music Group), The Talley Trio (Enhanced CD "The Message") as well as many other local artists and songwriters. In 1996 John and his brother Jason were nominated for Singing News Song of the Year for "God Has Provided A Lamb", recorded by The Bishops.
John leads worship at Covington Christian Church in Covington. He and his wife, Ginger have two children (Skye and Jonathan). For many years John sang with his brothers Jeff and Jason as The Johnson Brothers.
